Gearing Up for Spring/Summer

I told myself I would limit buying new fabric this year since I have SO MUCH hoarded from the past two years, but we’re barely three months into 2023 and oh look – I bought fabric. I may have an addiction. Or I’m a sucker for cute fabric. Both?

Anywho, Spring is just around the corner and I am gearing up for a busy market season!

January and February were filled with market applications and a spreadsheet to track said applications and payments. In case you didn’t know, I pay a fee to attend 95% of the events I vend at. This fee can range from $25 - $250. Seriously. I greatly depend on steady foot traffic at events to 1. Cover the application fee and 2. Hopefully sell enough to make a profit. Regardless, I love attending events to meet new people and befriend other vendors. The market scene is full of kindhearted and insanely talented people!

 March will feature two events at PG&J’s Dog Park Bar, 800 Baxter Ave.

Sunday, March 5 from 12 – 4 pm is their first ever Sunday Brunch. Grab yummy food from Keepsakes Diner, indulge in a mimosa flight or Bloody Mary (or 4), jam out to beats from DJ Phantom and shop bandanas from me! I will have four St. Patrick’s Day bandana options to get you ready for Louisville’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade on March 11th.

 Then on Sunday, March 26, the ‘No Fleas Please!’ Market returns from 1 – 5 pm. This event features pet-centric vendors. Past vendors, beyond me, have included Salmon Skinnies, The Arrow Fund, and Artesania Mexicana Mexican-Made Dog Collars.

I’m keeping March low-key event wise as I have two vacations planned this month (unintentionally). I will be beachin’ it up in Mexico for a bachelorette party March 8 – 12 and my mom and I are attending a wedding in the Netherlands March 28 – April 5. Any online orders placed during these timeframes will be fulfilled upon my return.

Three Easter bandanas will be released online on March 6 and the full Spring bandana collection will be released on March 22. Get a special sneak peek at two of the Spring bandanas during the Brunch event on March 5.
