Long Time, No Type
It’s been a busy spring/summer with trips and events. Here’s some highlights of what’s happened since mid-March.
I’ve sewn ~830 bandanas and I still have Thanksgiving and Christmas bandanas to sew! This will for sure be a 1,000+ bandana year. *brain explodes*
I’ve participated in 21 events. Each event is a learning experience for me. I take notes every event to help me remember what worked, what should be tweaked, and ideas for future events.
My top events during this period were Puppy Palooza, closely followed by the Beer Cheese Festival in Winchester. Both were packed!
Celebrated two friends who got married. Weddings are the only time you’ll find me on the dance floor (usually sans shoes).
I started a new job in May. It’s been a complete pivot career wise as I left International Education and now work in Marketing. Such an improvement on my mental health!
Explored The Netherlands with my mom in April, visited friends in Colorado in May and reunited with a sorority sister in New York City in July. Traveling is my favorite hobby, even more so than sewing. Pro Tip: I find most of my flights via Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights). It’s worth it to subscribe!
Looking to the future, temperatures are dropping (sort of) and that can only mean one thing…
Spooky Szn is here!
That’s right. Fall and Halloween fabrics are now available online and in-person.
Here’s where to find me in September.
Pop Up at Hi-Wire Brewing on Sunday, September 10th from 1 – 5 pm. I’ll have some of your favorite football teams available at this event too! Bring your dog and grab some friends for beers and Sunday football.
Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival September 15th – 17th This event will be HUGE and I have no idea what to expect. It will be long hours for me, but I’m ready. My booth will be in front of the Marathon Gas Station along Watterson Trail. Dogs are not allowed at the festival.
Friday, September 15th from 7 – 10 pm
Saturday, September 16th from 10 am – 10 pm
Sunday, September 17th from 12 – 6 pm
The final St. Matthews Farmers Market of the season is Saturday, September 30th from 8 am – 12 pm. This market is dog friendly!
Thank you for the continued support!
